BENEFITS OF SPONSORSHIP The spirit of giving provides an invaluable benefit to both the giver and the receiver. Children no matter what their circumstance is, need to be guided, nurtured and loved. To be given the opportunity to improve ourselves in life is the greatest gift any of us can receive. To give of yourself and to give opportunity is a guarantee of receiving the fruits of happiness. Many of us are privileged enough to get out of bed everyday and know that we will eat at least once today, whilst many of us enjoy the simple things in life like having the opportunity to go to school, health, a promising future, and even peace of mind in the security of tomorrow. For these children all they want is health, hope, strong relationships and confidence.
You are bringing to the child, the basic necessities in life that are required to succeed. Your donation will be directed to a child's future... offering them an opportunity to participate in the sports program which has a positive influence to these children in giving them hope and confidence. The children will receive sports gear and equipment including uniforms, appropriate shoes, balls, and transportation to and from practice sessions.
In addition you will be helping to provide for them - a daily meal, a chance to be in school (education is not free in Haiti), a chance to succeed in school with the provision of books and school material, and a chance to have medical attention when necessary. HOW SPONSORSHIP WORKS At L'Athletique d'Haiti's Child Aide Program, we are accountable to both the children we serve and to our sponsors. Our main focus here is ensuring that the kids come first no matter what. We intend for the children to receive at least 95% of your donation. We recognize that administrative expenses are necessary but the U.S. arm of this organization, which is Friends of L'Athletique d'Haiti, Inc., are all unpaid volunteers in supporting this program. That means that we are able to dedicate most of your donation to the children directly. We anticipate the only administrative expense is providing you with feedback on the progress of the organization and how your donation is being accounted for. With this in mind, we will post to our website www.athletiquehaiti.org on a semi-annual basis a simple accounting of sponsor proceeds and supporting material on the distribution of sponsor proceeds.

We appreciate that some of you may want to establish direct relationships with these children and/or with Bobby Duval and his Staff, and we encourage you to do so. Since our goal in the Child Aide Program is to establish an optimal budgetary process which ensures that the children receive in excess of 95% if not all of your contribution, you are therefore persuaded to establish and maintain these relationships through your own desire and commitment. General information is always available to you on an "as requested" basis.
